    dotsA Billion Butterflies Flutter Bydots

    A billion butterflies flutter by
Upon their wings deaths winking eyes
These pampered pets from Hades fly
Jeweled tears soar on Satan's sighs
    A billion butterflies flutter by
    A billion perfect poignant lies
    Beautiful fluttering butterflies
    Listen listen dew drops glisten
    Whispers sighs butterfly cries
    Don't you bereave the butterflies
    Rainbows burning butterfly fires
Whispers lies truth that dies liar liar
Butterflies born in Hades shady groves
Part of Satan's red red treasure trove
    Wings of dribbling toxic blood
    Dribbling blood becomes a flood
    Bleeding Butterflies snuff the sun
Listen to him he's the laughing one
    Butterflies that sting and bite
    Butterflies that haunt the night
    Butterflies that eat the dead
Butterflies will find you in your bed
Red Red dead dead here they come
    Butterflies! Butterflies! Run! Run!

Hmmmm..... my old friend... I stumbled upon this site last night.... (googled my name and found old writes I hadn't even made hard copies of...) and of course I saw that you had recently posted. I wasn't able to review your last submit, too heavy & dark to visit, but this one.... here goes~

As we've both grown to appreciate the roll of words that keep tumbling down... words that build upon each other's sound free from an orchestrated method or contrived calculation...
so does the first this, the middle of this... it continues to want to escape you mouth faster than you can say it... creating a vision of clustered butterflies released from a place of captivity.

    "Don't you bereave the butterflies
    Rainbows burning butterfly fires"
It's not JUST alliteration... is it? It's instinct! but wow, how beautifully done!

"Whispers lies truth that dies liar liar"
Here is where the continuum switches... with a skip in the beat... warning the reader not to get to comfortable-- and then yes, here it comes, (*smiles...) The word liar warns, the word Hades intrigues, and then the word Satan confirms that worse is coming... worse/best?? How about a CHANGE in coming-- The poem spirals out of the lofty sky into the dark place.... of beauty?? I actually was having more fun in the clouds. But, then there is beauty in the strangest places right?

Bleeding Butterflies that snuff the sun.... hmmm.... yep scary alright! (as the author intends)...
I personally believe the 3 lines that follow are the most honest. There is a feeling as if the poet opens the door for a peek, then shuts it quickly followed by a few scoffing lines to detract. And then like a familiar stamp.... the poem ends with a light chuckle... or not?

The reader dangles a bit... always left wondering if she's just been on an amusement ride... or honestly hearing more.

I am reading this date correctly am I? This was posted just this month after a 3 year hiatus? How interesting to find your writes again... (black magic prayer possibly?) I might just have to write a new one in hopes you'll review it. Hope you are well~
