The previous readers have mentioned the obvious points of intrusion from marketing and advertising in to our daily lives. I just feel curious to where you were and what you saw that caused this piece. It seems as if the feelings are there and it would be great to share in that instance as if I were also there. its Good work in a dark writing style.

our lives are taken over by commercialism...and we can do nothing about it..constant interruptions in our programs...and we are at their mercy..
    saw other things here too..

public service announcements that alert us to more bad things to make us worry..

and commercials for these medicines that say they will cure one thing but the risks' list last 58 of the 60 seconds of the commercial..

we have so much propaganda...what can we really believe...

    good rant...

Not fun to read. I think it relates to war and propaganda. It may refer to those who benefit from
war. the root of all evil. Follow the money.
Mad religious zealots would not be nearly so dangerous if they was broke.

      Interesting rant, Lloyd.

It made me think of commercials. Selling, blaring, provoking, and irritating from every corner of life, and in any form available.
They have friggin' commercials blaring out of the end-aisle displays at walmart, for cryin out loud. Also, video screens at the gas pump displaying the joy of adding chemicals to your gas to improve the life of your vehicle and make the world a better place.

I walked past a display of clairol hair color the other day and it shouted "Gray hair?!!!!" and I jumped as though caught in a felonious act.
How the hell did it know I have gray hair, anyhow?

The advertising profession is the modern equivalent of the money changers in the temple. Damned; the whole lot of them.

    In my humble opinion. ;)

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
