I saw her face sliding over the side of my blade,
she smiled and said hi, as she joined the crusade.
I said "baby, you are like the moon mid-parade,
a black quiver of promises with games unplayed.
Behind this armor lies a guard, remnant of a shard,
a soul splayed by her majesties gathered from afar."
She said "honey you can trust my disguise, any part,
inside lies but crushed dust, the gears of my heart.
You seem like a fine man, fit for a kings caravan,
won't you join my side in this confusing timespan?"
I said "you admit disdain and act wracked in pain,
but baby I have to kill you, to stay stained sane."
I said "baby I can try to write the winter from your eyes
but we are both standing here with pockets full of lies,
trying to convince the sun and moon to become promises
where we ourselves sprinkled sharpened wishes."
She stood stuck but unstruck, nodded and waved,
I walked away happy knowing time has been saved..
