Words that we couldn't bring ourselves to say,
Even if they're for another's best.
The laws of friendship demanded our inaction,
And so our silence is filled with regret.
Words that needed to spoken,
But pride and pain,
For retribution so called.
So then our silence is filled with shame.
Words spoken out of place,
As annoyance enters the drum,
Words of unintelligence pass our lips,
So silence is filled with wisdom.
