I dream of birds in flight
And they often tell me of the future
    Messengers of the night
    They whisper, and tell me

    "Do not be afraid."

i feel as if this poem needs a departure from what might be expected, otherwise it is straightforward, an object of prettiness that one might lose in a room.

(in the way that teens are prone to overdecorate)

I dream of birds in flight
    And they - telling me....

    abbreviated edit denotes departure point.

an openonion no less, no more.

i really like this. maybe because i am a bird watcher/observer/listener.

i love the ending here, because for myself at least, i feel birds have something to say/tell me, and it usually has a calming effect.

i would edit the quotes here.
ES has a way of buggering up word imports.

    anyhoo. nice job.
