    Hot Rod Rider(Riding Misty)

Well, do I remember that night.
It all started out in the garage.
She was a neon green Fiesta
    gleaming like a cool mirage.

    I was polishing her chassis
    really buffing her up good.
I even tweaked her up some
    underneath her composite hood.

Then I filled her up with petrol
and eased her out on the road.
    I kept it under sixty
    because she was still cold.

After a while, we made a few turns.
I had to crack a smile because
    she was ready to burn.
We were running down the road

    with her engine revved right.
    Then I shifted another gear
    and she purred in delight.
I put the petal to the metal

I really tacked her up tight.
That is when I knew the road
    was wide open tonight.
I had flames shooting out of her cr-stack.

There was no doubt about us
    turning back.
    The moment was coming close.
She was approaching the fine red line.

That is when I hit the nitro boost
    and it blew her mind.
All I could do is hang on the wheel.
    However, to this very day

I cannot prove it was real.
Because all I have in the driveway
is an old pick up truck without any wheels.

she was the girl...she was my best ride...she got me in gear...

i see the car analogy to the woman

together we floored each other...high speed passion, a night of crazy spins, turns, burning rubber...

    and then...afterwards...what was it?

did it really happen? or was it only in my mind?

in the driveway of my life, there is someone...but she never looked her, she never had the get up...she never shifted my gears...

not like the fantasy Fiesta..( i like that..use of Fiesta...the ultimate party girl...the one nighter)

but put some wheels on that old truck...and i bet she will run well and last...

what did Friar Lawrence say..."love moderately, long love does so"

    vroom vroom!
