(enough into noise)

(i'm here) in this place
again.) becoming static.

a block away,
(i can't make out)
where i started the night off
with (individual conversations)

no one (i can hear)

i was less likely to drink
(the jukebox) alcohol (though)
and more likely to drink (the music)

water (is terrible)
and to be sober (tonight.
in the morning.
