    dotsRivers Enddots

The stone of this heart cast into a hint of eternity

A lagoon of ripples to those distant stars
In a sprinkled miasmas dust of ages
    Withholding with their silence
    To their far-flung beaches
Where the lonely feet of shipwrecks tread
    Leave the mariners of flotsam
To float in reveries into the rivers end

She is sleeping a tourniquet of streams
And the far call of the boarders
    Echo from the shoreline
Amid the lights and fields of unwanted night time
    Always with the deceptive flow
With their powder and their debris to glide on by
Vanishing within the current of those distant stars

    And I am driftwood
    With only the horizons destination
Upon the rigmarole of waves I fall
Rising just in time to see the suns reflection
No more than a satellite to the taste of salt
    I dream of nothing more
When to the sea she reaches the rivers end

    Only emptiness
In the wake of the moon and her silver dress
Will it bring this broken keel
And finally to the rocks where dreams which come to rest
Speak of darkness and the sand
An hourglass to turn their gentle hand
And vanish within the dust of the distant stars

She is sleeping a taut and aching wish around these heartstrings
The far boarders eternally give their call
Just an echo from the shore
Amid the homes and lights the fields of night times end
    But; always with deceptive flow
Those lost beyond their own return
    As I fade into depths
    And reach the rivers end
