Based on a true thriller of a girl, the kind who feeds on other girls boyfriends because this gives them a sense of triumph. I have met atleast three such s.gophers who openly admitted that they fool guys simply for the fun of it. Before my very eyes Ihave seen relationships crumbling while the sg moves on as if nothing happened.

dotsCharcter Sketch of a social gopher...dots

She is the darling of all varieties of men-whether dweebs or bozos- a typical punk or a typical moose- all fall for her hypnotic charm. Her kohl eyes can turn many guys to easy dirigibles if they do not have nerves enough to confront the black magic of her mascara. People do not know how to describe her, there is something vague about her but she is not mysterious, she is only ambitiously ambiguous. And she snivels so artistically while telling about her DARK past, all hearts reach their melting point somehow. You know what is her darkest secret!!! that she survives on nothing more than fruit rind and swills diet coke all the time to maintain that wiry figure and accuses others of eating countryside bagels dunked in milk. Once I interviewed her in my dream,' Tamanna, are you a sexual parasite? Why do you always choose other woman’s man, why,,'

'Wait,,waTi,', she doesn’t let me complete my query,'no dear, I am not any kind of parasite, I am a respectable saprophyte. I feed on dead relationships and clean away their last remnants too. What is the fuss!'

'Yeah, but you kill those relationships first, dont you. All righty, keep boosting your perverse ego. God made you more powerful than Himself.Go ahead. Life need not have more substance than this.'

I've always looked at this as being kind of an ego boosting power trip for an otherwise bearer of low self-esteem (or just someone being hateful). I like the self justification use of "saprophyte" and sense of just hurrying along the inevitable, a public service kind of thing. Some people always have to be testing their charms, some with a "how much is it worth to you" kind of thing as a gauge.

As one charmer put it, "Guys are so easy".

    Nice write.

There are men who prey on women just for the notch too . Why is it some people find the forbidden fruit so tempting ?

And when I thought some more about this, wouldn't you know... one came to my damn mind. So much for my preaching on THAT subject... but this one, was single when I met him, and he married during the time I was madly in love with him. But just that once. And after 10+ yrs. of that friendship... well, I give up. And it was only online. So I don't know if that counts or not.

Holy Shit. I found a new reason to feel [censored]ty and question myself. You're a fantastic writer, cuz between this and "Incubus" I will be up for the rest of the night contemplating my life and actions, and the why's.

It is amazing what kohl eyeliner will do to a woman's eyes in a man's eyes... I don't understand it, but I don't leave home without it. In fact, my first tattoo (should I ever decide to get one) will definitely be, Eyeliner. Lots of it. Thick, like Esmerelda's from BEWITCHED. Heavy enough to last whatever years, whatever condition. It saves the trouble of drawing it on every day.

Secondly, this reminds me of my dear friend Tammy, who is currently involved (and non-involved at this point, depending on the recent sway) of trying to do exactly this... destroy a "bad" marriage and force a man to live up to his promises.

I sympathized her plight, a bit, originally. Then after talking to her this past weekend over drinks, I heard of all the past relationships... always, the man was married. ALWAYS. In fact, our friend Tim (who has known her much longer) quipped, If a man isn't married, then Tammy doesn't want him....

And I have so few female friends... so few friends left... I have to listen to this. I have to bite my tongue sometimes, and agree with her, the time has come to Choose for him. But even when she decides it's "Over," he begs her to stay in it. And she does. And for that, I really am beginning to hate her in every way.

She is in LOVE, she defends. He loves her back... but then he doesn't. Maybe he does... I don't know the [censored].

All I know is, when she begs me to be non-judgmental... I think, at my lowest, I have never tried to take a married man. Or a dating man. Or anyone's man. And I try to convince her, let this one go and move on to a SINGLE one. Stop being the most vile, loathsome female stereotype that I detest. But what can you do, but keep being kind and gentle as possible, and influence it in another direction.

But yes.... I know this woman too well. And at my lowest dirt-kissing moment, I can at least feel good that I was never this type.

      I've met women like this.

They are like cats, only in it for the chase. They only feel challenged if they can take away, rearrange, conquer.

Some of the phrasing in this was brilliant; "ambitiously ambiguous" I particularly liked.

Nice bit of sarcasm at the end. Reminds me of so many chickies I know.
