Description:

Short poem I wrote recently.

Fields of Fire

The fields of fire were endless,
Licking tree and limb.
Coursing heat boiling the sky.
Blue suffocated,
Inky billows, and blood soaked sun,
Caught reflected, on boundless water,
Rescued.

Good imagery, but that is all that I personally took from it. I can kind of see where you were going for symbolism but it didn't really take. I think you should look at this poem again. You have a lot of good imagery of what a pilaging fire is like, but I think you should try and develop this more while asking these quesrions:

What does the fire symbolize?
What is the cause/origin of the fire?

That's just a couple I aksed myself after reading. Ambiguity is important in poems like this, so you never want to reveal too much.

All in all decent write
