    If tomorrow never comes
    I'll be happy for today,
    and thrilled that I have you
    to keep my cares at bay.

    You have given me so much!
    I'm such a lucky man!
    I revel at the thrill
    of our simply holding hands.

    When the Sun comes up at morning,
    my day's already bright,
    for my life's illuminated
    by your radiance and light.

    And though there's always days
    that are darkened by the rain
    your smile and radiant face
    make the Sun to shine again!

    So if tomorrow's not to be;
    I'll remember the only one
    who's made my yesterdays worthwhile
    If tomorrow never comes.

      Was just browsing through your postings and wouldn't you know I'd stop to comment on the first love poem I came across :)
    As always, you have a way of making me feel the words.
    It is indeed the simple things about love that mark their place in our hearts... like the holding of hands, or just waking up by the one who makes your everyday a happy one, just by being there.

      wow! i really liked this piece! its very hallmark-like, but in a really good and pure way. its a very tender piece full of contentment and joy. the poem really got to me...ya know? it speaks to that which i long for- true love.

    the gentleness with which you approach and execute this piece is excellent. the rhythm is wonderful and the imagery is very solid. it's an extolling of that which is dearest to man -love!

    i am also fond of the message. the carpe diem of romance, as it were. to live for today, to live to the fullest, to live all for her each moment. killer! but the enjambment of tomorrow never coming gives this piece layers and fullness. really well done.

    i love your style will will make my way back again. i would love to get some comments from you as well. i've been on the site for 5 years, but out of the 5 years i've only written 5 months. i went 3 years w/o writing anything and therefore, consider myself a novice.

      if we make the most of today, who cares if tomorrow comes or not...we've gotten the most out of all our yesterdays...

    nice sentiment here...especially the holding hands part....damn that is such a lost art...
    when i was young, kissing was special and holding hands was something we were at first shy about...

    now it's all or nuthin'

    the good days are gone...

    i am glad i enjoyed each of them to the max...

    this poem is pleasant nostalgia...of a mindset that has unfortunately faded away...
