How I feel today, can't quite cope with my depression, I nearly lost my life a few days ago, because of the bad neighborhood I live in, and currently, I'm trying to beat my trauma by writing.

Just last night I conquered the world,
With all the fairy tales in it,
Didn't know that the painted mural,
    Was just a mere illusion,
    That destroyed my cherished feelings.

    And so I still dreamed,
Awake and gazed at the stars,
    For something higher and supreme,
    Yet I knew,
    My vision went beyond far,
The thoughts of the wicked and obscene.

All alone I embraced my sorrow,
    Leaving me paranoid and stressing,
    I hate the tomorrow!
    Just knowing that God,
    Isn't going to turn the sky;
    Into a message.

    ...I'm still all alone...

      Cognizance, self grasped.

I can share the feeling of the last sentence of the description, that reason for writing is on key.
cause you can tell yourself that it's the best escape and you hold onto it.

If the sky was a mural I thought of with your last stanza and so on that I think about how I get down or in glum I don't want to burden anyone with but I do want to chimney those feelings.
And then I'd try to console or tone myself down.

All alone I embraced my sorrow,
    Leaving me paranoid and stressing,

^ It stood out to me like sweet pain that nobody can really get unless they've been there.

When you're alone the pain, emotional menace is at impact with realization but you still get to breathe and dream.
I suppose that's the bright side of it.
How you get blue but want to still buck up and be thankful for the life you have.

It's humane because some folks try to fight these types of feelings and not let them cascade outward.

    Deep write.

And in just one second he does send you a message, but just when you don't expect it.
    Nice poem, I like it.

Nice poem... painted mural is an illusion, yeah becoz it is painted, this metphor is a nice choice because it reminds of earthy shadowy colors crawling on wall, sometimes defying all sense. They defy reality as well as their unreality. Bad neighbourhoods also do the same. when a sensitive and reasonably intelligent person is caught among the insensitive and unreasonable kind of people, he suffers like you are suffering but you know you are way better than what they are... so cheers!
