Sometimes, a friendly smile is all it takes
To heal your heart before it breaks.
We all need a friend to lean on one day,
At times you just want the world to go away.

We all have good days, every now and then bad
They make us appreciate the happy times that we've had.
Keep those good memories inside of your heart,
Unlock them when you feel yourself falling apart.

Sometimes a friend is not around
When you have shattered to the ground.
You must pick up the pieces of your broken heart,
Dry your tears, move forward and make a fresh start.

At times it's difficult to find the strength we need,
We wear a mask while inside we bleed.
Bleeding out tears of pain and crying in the rain,
Often wondering if we've lived our lives in vain.

We all have the power to change someones day,
By sharing a smile you can wipe their tears away.
What you give of yourself ,will be returned to you.
"What goes around, comes around" is so very true.

We only have one chance, you see,
To be the person we choose to be.
So, smile and show someone that you care,
Love and kindness is something we each must share.

Good! We must immediately dispense with the masks that are suffocating us and infact swallowing us up... smiles make us spiritually, psychologically and emotionally healthy. Smiling often can dissolve traumas and sense of victimisation too... we should always smile when we can.
