This is a few years old, written in the present about the emotions of the past. This was a dramatic (though very accurate) experiment with an oxford english dictionary.

Dear poison, with your acrid kiss
Pressing salted pleasure upon cut lips
Contorting the whim of everlasting desire
With ecliptic hands and eyes of fire
    You addle the aberrant mind
Depicting happiness with you to find
In time you'll decimate this fractured soul
Impugn upon life's existence in whole

Dark poison share your poisonous vine
Tell me of its bitter sweet taste of wine
For I wish to live, to know
Thrive, feel, and learn to grow
Give me what I so desire and need
    Ingest, devour, engulf with ease
Your given pleasures, the memories they create
I give all of myself for you to take
As it's better to die having loved in vain
Than live forever without receiving your pain

So let me drink of your deleterious gift
Tremble at your infectious caress and kiss
Bend with your passion's ember of desire
Burn deep within love's forbidden fire
    Confuse my wandering consciousness
    Reflecting an apparition of happiness
Only in time to destroy this constricted soul
Letting pain invade the remnants of loves fool

Dear poison, share your poisonous vine
Fill me of its acrid taste of wine
For if I am to breathe, to live
Let me feel the warmth overtake within
As it's better to die having loved in vain
Than live forever never knowing your lust, your name.
