Description:

Bleh, rum!

Cat

The padded paws slowly pitter-pat across the street. It wishes to find sustenance. It's poor mange-ridden body searches for food in the night. It stumbles upon a kind person that shelters it and wants to feed it. It eats the food and lays in the feeder's lap. It purrs and paws playfully. All is well for the cat, until it wants to go outside. It then meows and paws at the door, but the feeder is afraid to lose its new cat. This leads to issues. The cat is unhappy because it wants to be free, but the owner wants to keep the cat because t has grown fond of it. The cat wants to search for food elsewhere. Eventually, the door is left open and unattended to. The cat wanders out, free at last. This pattern continues until the cat is old and grey. It finally wants an owner to call its own. It is stuck in a house, but has found an open window. With grief in its eyes, and a heavy heart, it stares into its current keeper's abode and nods. Out the window it goes in search of its next meal and home. There is a lesson and a riddle behind this story. If you can solve it for me, then I shall reward you, as the cat still stalks the night.

there is that saying...if you love something let it go and if it loves you back it will return...

this cat wants the attention and love but also wants its freedom...

hard to have both..and ironic...if we act indifferent towards someone...even if we love that person...we can give them space which he or she wants...but at the same time the person can get frustrated with that because he or she also wants to lie in the lap and be coddled...

it's a rock and a hard place for the cat/person...

let me independent, but not too...keep the door open...but don't let me go back outside without a fight...
