    dotsDidn't Have to Askdots

I talked to the wind today and it answered me.
I asked it who I was and how I came to be.

A slow whisper spread itself through treetops -
airy lightness infused my very bones with foam,
and the marrow drew up into me.

I didn't ask the wind why it only made the sound
    of everything it blew around
    and through
    I didn't have to.

Beautiful piece. Profound in its simplicity. The last stanza is wonderful. You are so in sync with the wind that you don't have to ask why it does (or says) what it does...you are one with it when it speaks to you. And yet, it says something different to everyone who can hear it. It is part of all of us, as we are part of it.

    Excellent write.

the wind has a certain mysterious quality doesn't it. you cant seem to tell where it comes from not where it's going, but you can discern its effects. this is what came to my mind as i read you piece. sometimes things just are and thats ok. sometimes we just know and that preferable. and sometimes we are at a loss for understanding, but such is life and we must be thankful for the other two "sometimes"...

    nicely done!
    ciao, bella

god, i love the last stanza...

things happen for a reason...one thing leads to another, one door closes another opens...that kind of thing...

but what a neat way to express it...

i ask the wind...and yet, i really don't need to...i already know the answers...

it's just the way it is...

this reminded me a bit of the movie "Phenomenon" with John Travolta...and that "one with nature" thing...we can use the forces of nature...abide with them...be part of them.
