    The raw energy
    Of mysterious beauty
    Charged particles
    Collide
    Pulled together
    By magnetic invisible forces

    Polar opposites
    North and South
    But tied together
    By nature
    Heart to heart
    From one to the other

    Ionized oxygen and nitrogen
    In an excited state return
    To the ground
    Dancing
    On the edge
    Energy absorbed energy released

    Primary colors
    Red, green, and blue

    A nebulous glow
A curtain of light in the darkness

    The void fills
    Your mind releases
    Molecules
    Bubbles

    You feel the Earth beneath
    Like never before
    Sweet salty cosmic lips
    Kiss your eyes
    And you see
    Like never before

Very beautiful poem. I love this poem, I'm so sick of nihilism, or a cold microscopic view of the universe. I'm not talking about belief or anything serious , but why can't we have the scientific and keep that romantic sense of wonder? Really enjoyed this.

I like this. It has a sort of sci-fi feel to it. Like psytrance does. I also like how you've tried to incorporate a sort of scientific vocabulary into this poem. Check out my poem: Holy Experiment. I think I've managed to capture the scientific way of speaking there perfectly...

I read this, then re read it with Apteryx's comment and it made me smile.

    Initial reaction though,
    powerful,
    a piece about powerful chemistry.

    I like it.

    :)
