"Maybe religion itself is the most evil of all things. We kill in the name of religion,we take (steal) from others in the name of religion, we judge those who do not share our exact beliefs in the name of religion. We basically do everything religion teaches us not to, in the name of religion."

This is so true, and sometimes you just wonder "What in the world is Religion" its like everyone who claims to be a christian or religious do the opposite of what the religion says while still keeping a 'Religious' name for themselves.

It can be quite confusing to a lot of people especially if they are questioning if God is even real.

Usually its more like the preachers want power over the people, taking their money while preaching on "Prosperity"

    Excellent write!

That last sentence, how very ironic and true.

People have used religion for their own personal gain. They think that their holy book gives them authority.

We can keep gays from getting married because it says homosexuality is an abomination in the bible -__-

When are we going to ditch that book in the white house?

i have pretty strong thoughts on this subject...an intense believe in God, but intense distaste for organized religion..having been part of one for many years...

it is in our heart and actions...not in a structure or phony words.
