    The world is running out
    of everything.
    High Octane Madness.
    The lake of fire froze.
Lost souls will trade you gold
    for a bag of coal.
The champions of men have all caught a cold.
If you close your eyes, you can pretend
that the four horsemen are not wearing parkas
to protect them from the wind.

The last we saw of Fred he had an axe
    buried in his head.
We all assumed he was dead.
Then he shows at the bar.
says "boys I have traveled far
    but you know
the road to hell is closed
    on account of snow".

    The Devil's pitched a fit
claims this is not the way
    the script was writ.
He is hole up in an ice cave

      ice is a sufficient death
    (your cold snap
    has the freshest breath)
I felt a tingle in my bones
    and then felt nothing
    and then felt so alone...

This is a very powerful poem. I enjoy the honesty as it depicts the modern age of man

there is a purpose for everything that has happened, and for what is happening now...we will find out sooner or later....when we shuffle off this mortal coil....something else awaits..we may be holed up with the devil or maybe joining the lord on his vacation...if he hasn't come back yet...

but it definitely appears we are headed to the next place one way or the other...almost rushing there the way the world is going...
yes, i agree with Lloyd...you are damn refreshing....so different...

I find it amusing when people think they are mortal, that time starts and runs out. "Just die and wait for it"... good one that. Thanks for my evening dose of reality. "Moral inebriation" - get a patent on that one.

Have we done Fred previously? You are quite refreshing.

It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
