i watched an orb weaver do her stuff. legs like fingers plotted. pulled. oh! how they measured space. time. (a 12th of an inch here). (a pause to think there). 'round. back. back. 'round. red striped legs moved. carried a belly. held two spotted eyes that watched me watch the orb weaver do her stuff.

Fun read! My 14 year old son was just asking me what the definition for "stuff" was tonight after dinner (clearing the table meant moving the "stuff"). I said that a synonym would be "thing". In true teen fashion he said, "Yeah, but what are "things"?". I dismissed him and told him to grab the mustard if he still wanted to get the latest zombie book ( The Fallen which is book #5 in Charlie Higson's The Enemy Series) from the bookstore. Now that we are back, yes, I like this contemplation of "stuff". I like that she is doing her stuff.

Oh i just love spiders! I love picking up spiders and talking to them, sometimes putting them on my face to scare people a little, or intreague, depends which way you look at it. And yes for some reason i have always felt spiders to be wise and watchers and understanders of many things. The way i see it spiders are more harmless than locusts.

A locust actually bit me once! Started chewing a mini-gibbet of my finger and i proceeded to shake my hand and scream a little inside and a lot outside.

    Spiders are cool though..
