    -------------------------------------------

Sit down for awhile, give me a few minutes of your time
Lay your head down, if you want to you can close your eyes
I wrote you something just a little rhyme
    I don't think there'll be a better time

    As I'm holding your hand
With a smile on my face
I am glad you're my man
And I'd rather not be in any other place
    Than in your arms
    Gripping so tight
    Away from harm
    In the darkest of night
Thank God you're on my side
    An Angel like you
    Dry my eyes
    Like you always do
Kiss my lips so softly and true
    If I am ever lost
My heart will lead me to you
So for all this and than
    I want to thank you

    S.H.

This feels like a very intimate poem. You convey the feelings well.
