    dots"The Magic Of Autumn"dots

    At night a mighty magician
    has lent color to the trees
    He's made a forest pallet
    before the Winter's freeze.

    He's changed the leafy forest
    into brilliant blazing hues
    and stilled the land at evening
    with the hush of Autumn's clues.

    Now numbered are the Summer's days;
    now hushed are Summer winds;
    now it's still within the Forest
    as Autumn's chill begins.

    Now timid forest creatures
    busily gather stores
    now the Oak Tree sheds it Acorns
    from the branches they adorned.

    It's harvest time again
    and bales of hay abound
    Pumpkins lend their color
    wherever they are found.

    It's a time of seasonal magic
    with Fall stores and the Harvest Fair
    It's a time when Autumn's magic
    lends enchantment to the air!

      I feel magic in your poetry. You have a knack of expressing nature's beauty. Have a wonderful Fall and enjoy to the heart's depth the Lord's beauty and His creation around us.

      i love autumn, love this poem and relate so much to it right now.

    i live in the woods, pretty much all oaks...and there are several right over my house...the roof is constantly getting barraged with acorns the last two weeks...sounds like i am getting attacked by soldiers running around up there...

    thanks for this

      Vivid! I really like the rhyming scheme, as well. Autumn inspires such imagination in artists. I wish you a very inspirational and happy autumn season, sir.
