    The Strength Of A Man
    by Jacqueline Marie Griffiths

The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders.
It's in the width of his arms that encircle you.

The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice.
It's in the gentle words he whispers.

The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
It's how good of buddies he is with his children.

The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work.
It's in how respected he is at home.

The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits.
It's in how tender he touches.

The strength in a man isn't in the hair on his chest.
It's in his Heart...that lies within his chest.

The strength of a man isn't how many women he's loved.
It's in can he be true to one woman.

The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift.
It's in the burdens he can carry.

I don't mean any offense to anyone, meaning that I don't know if you know the author etc, but I found the wording of a couple of them pretty clunky. You can get over that though because it's full of truisms -and that will work.

It would be good to see one done on the strength of a woman ie

the strength of a woman is not in her looks, but
the way in which she looks. meaning that a man needs a woman and a woman needs a man, and we are paired in this. all people.

Anyway, thanks for the posting. I felt it was goodness on a page. :)

these are my favorite lines...you put a spin on what every man feels strength is..

This was quite a wonderful write! There were so many beautiful juxtapositions between the traditional "Macho" stance and a true "Gentle man"
