When I look at your scars
    I see your story told
And when I peer into your heart
I see the part that's gold

    When you look at me
    Know your reflection
Is true, the good in you
    Through unfiltered passion

    'Cause my eyes don't lie
    The beauty I see
    Knows all is good
    As you can be

    So leave your ghosts behind
    Let's start over together
    Be each other's strength
    Bringing out the better

    I'm not going anywhere
And if you stay as well
The dream won't have to end
    Endless stories to tell

Everyone brings some "baggage" with them to a new relationship. The trick is for both parties to be able to reconcile that baggage in order to make it work to an advantage....

    nice write!

i really like this piece....no hidden agendas, no play on words...just a nice rhythmic feeling...i am here to stay...no matter what has happened to you before, trust me...i am here for the long haul...and i will take the bad with the good...

reminds me lots of my second marriage...we both had been hurt so much before and felt such a lack of trust in love....takes much to overcome that. to "leave the ghosts behind"
