I lay here and I ponder the thought..
What is true happiness?
Where may I find true happiness within the life I am constantly treading through?
As if a swan, so graceful and elegant,
Yet underneath the body of water,
This swan is paddling with everything she has.
Just to stay afloat
Yet we only see her beauty
And what she represents...
Elegance we all wish to achieve
Gracefulness we all want to be seen as
Her imperfections are there, yet no one takes the effort to see them
Only her outer appearance matters
A life of decent and denial
Nothing but posing and pretending
Everything within this swan's life has become such a burden
All she can do is continue to paddle
And pray her poor legs do not give in.
