Our lives began to intertwine on a brisk day in February,
We were inseparable,
Constantly wrapped within one another’s embrace
Our emotions soared...
Soon our love blossomed into a flower with absolutely no imperfections
Each evening we saw this flower sparkle for we'd greet one another with a kiss
This love we shared, soon expressed with our intimacy
Making love ... and we become whole ... as if two different souls did not exist
My naked body pressed against yours
Our love would only grow from here on out..
Yet, something changed...
This perfectly formed flower had just a speck of imperfection within it,
We saw this... Yet we could not acknowledge what was to come..
However, this speck of imperfection began to consumer our flower
Like a cancer... Eating away at our life support of our love!
A plague we could not stop!
Soon what began out to be so beautiful and perfect?
Ended up being a lifeless, wilted flower with nothing left to give
