    I sit
    Spilling soul stories as
    Scattered streams of consciousness
    Sigh forward and slide through.
    Sorrow Secrets
    Slip backwards
    My Sotto Voce Soliloquy
    Salutes the Shadowlands in
    Somber Sequence
    'til saturated

    I sit
    Sinking slip knot worries as
    Scattered dreams of happiness
    Writhe forward and cry through
    Slow motion surrender.
    My solo surges
    through suffocated prose
    and severed syllables
    Seeking solace

    I sit
    Searching snap shot snippets
    of ancient history
    Soul Secrets
    Simply shared
    I stay
    I see strength my salvation
    Someday, I'll set my sights
    Soar forward and sing my
    Free song salutation
    In symphonic splendor

    ...I hope.

i like the "slow motion surrender"

it is hard to let go...but in therapy if we don't just lay it all on the table...the sessions are useless..

there was a great scene in "lovesick"...dudley moore movie where he was a therapist..and he had this patient who would never say a word the whole session..and when the timer went off saying the session was over, he would clench his fists in frustration...upset it was over...but he never talked...ironic.

i used to sit on the floor curled up against the wall...had a good therapist...she let me be comfortable..didn't make me sit in the chair...

she never wrote down a thing...just remembered everything...she pulled me from the abyss...made me understood i was responsible for me..not everybody else..took a lot of pressure off..

i like the alliteration...gives me two leanings.

the ssssssssssssssss sound of the ocean waves hitting a shore...very calming..

but also the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...of the therapist falling asleep as the speaker drones on about life's problems...is anybody listening to me?

the symphony of psychotic subtleties build to a crescendo...and i curl up harder in my corner trying not to hear them.

I am impressed that you can make this long of a poem alliterating S. On one hand, it is a little difficult to read through that much alliteration. On the other, for this particular poem, I find it contributes a kind of dream state which seems to go with the therapy theme. I wonder what this poem might be like without the alliteration? - Jim
