You know, lips have a lot of nerve endings.
    More than in your fingertips!
Try running your fingers over your lips,
it feels so weird doesn't it?

    And you know what else-?

    Weird, weird, everything's so weird
    So light and light-headed
    Breathing
    Have you ever heard someone
    breathe so close, unconsciously
    thinking about it?
Sinking into your skin and hands
    and invading your aura,

thinking is a far off concept...
I'm an explorer and I want to
    discover everything and know
    every part of this world
I visit time and time again
    finding something else each time

    now I'm an escapist
    I've escaped the world
    for a minute
    or five? I can't tell
but now it's time to leave
    this void, where am I?

    But yes,
    lips have many nerve endings
    I'm sure you know.

Ha no wonder u reviewed me! Someone else(you) has spent perhaps even more time than I contemplating lips. I am mostly dwelling on the color pink is so perfect for lips. I find one reason I like the color is because of lips, without lips would pink be as interesting for men? I think not. As you too it seems realize kissing also plays a huge part in lending mystique to lips and by association pink . Really I am a huge fan of lips!

Wow. Amazing. 16? Really? Very impressive work.

    I love the last line.

    "I'm sure you know"

I did touch my lips when I read this btw.

Your words crossed space and time and compelled another person to do something. To think deeply about it while doing it . . .

    At 16.

Like I said, impressive. I wish I had been writing like this at 16!

    Lovely work!

interesting piece...it touched a nerve...maybe veering away from what it is actually about...but reminded me of my younger days of dating...having been raised a "good catholic boy" .....we were guilt tripped into thinking any times the hands roved we had sinned greatly..and wound up the next morning at confession....kind of silly, but the good thing that came of it was that we used our "lips" to communicate as fully as we could...and we really found kissing to be an art...and a very passionate thing...so sad these days that seems to have gone into the sunset...

the foreplay is pretty well skipped..and the art of kissing seems so lost.

but yes, lips can also invade space...breathing, or unwanted conversation or unwanted questions all come from those same lips.

i find this piece connects at several levels.
