The old year is now history and part of yesterday. A new year's bright upon us, a tomorrow for which we pray. So may we act with kindness as we bring the new year in, and may the Lord forgive us for our many human sins. May the light of love be a guiding star to brighten our pathway; may hope and faith and words of trust be a part of every day. And, may the clouds that darken minds be scattered by the Sun; may goodness find a willing place in the hearts of everyone. And, last of all but not the least, may every home be blessed, with good fortune and the love of God, and all of Heaven's best. |
This poem is very uplifting and spiritual. You feel good when you read it. Hope and faith and words of trust be part of every day.... that is what we need. Thanks. To ask for love of God is the most cherished wish for the New Year. If we get and have love and faith for God we will get everything in our lives. | Posted on 2012-01-22 00:00:00 | by Ramneet | [ Reply to This ] | we look back with thanks | forward with hope in our hearts praying for love's grace souls ablaze, pillars of light peace and love will reign all hearts | Posted on 2012-01-04 00:00:00 | by latentlylyrical | [ Reply to This ] | this is a great new years poem. it touches on the things that matter most and is completely heart-warming. it has a prayer-like quality to it which really draws me. as we say good bye to last year, we hope for God's blessing for the birth of this one... | another great piece, Ron. ciao -JP | Posted on 2012-01-03 00:00:00 | by rev.jpfadeproof | [ Reply to This ] | |
