    dots Morningdots

    the morning hours
    open my eyes again
last night i slept and absorbed the 19 hours of the day before

i force myself to breathe slowly as i am driving to work
    it is raining
i thank God for the rain
    because i am learing

i flip through stations looking for something that will make me sing

    i settle
and focus on my breathing and the silence that i need to fill my head
    i am listening
for a voice that is connected to eternity

stamped on the inner crevices of my fingertips
weaving between mountains and valleys of the earth

    and the atmosphere

i praise the living God that has spoken to me and continues to wake me
to demonstrate the principle of being and love

I don't know exactly how to take this in. I think it works well as a poem, and it would make interesting internal dialogue within a story. This has the flavor of a stream of consciousness but there is obviously thought put into the structure. That is a trick indeed to make the structured sound unstructured...

      Your writing/voice is so natural.
It's soothing and aware on many levels.
