    dots<3 Nana <3dots
    -------------------------------------------

    Cornflower eyes,
    gazed peacefully,
    her love for us,
    always there to see.

    A loving touch,
    her quiet strength.
    my defender,
    always so innocent.

    That special smile,
    the look in her eyes,
    kept only for me,
    as I arrived.

    Call her sweet,
    she was indeed,
    her calm manner,
    none could proceed.

    Loving my Pop,
    like no other,
    always supporting,
    her beloved.

    Wealth of knowledge,
    Gods greatest witness,
    she gave her life,
    all her commitment.

    Always lending a hand,
    kindness her special gift.
    even more so to those,
    who others, deemed unfit.

    Truly an angel,
    dedicated to Gods work,
    sent from heaven,
    to dwell here on earth.

    Never a cross word
    did I hear her utter,
    instead she would pray,
    her only mutters.

    As age took over
    I watched in pain,
    until no more,
    did my Nana remain.

    Eyes became grey,
    no longer so blue,
    her mind,
    became easily confused.

    A drawn process,
    over time,
    my pure distress,
    to see such a decline.

    Age finally won,
    she knew me no more,
    leaving me bereft,
    saddened to the core.

    Special was I,
    and she to me,
    her last days finally,
    setting her free.

    I sat at her bed,
    until death,
    did come to take,
    her final choked breaths.

    It breaks my heart still,
    to know she is gone,
    yet pain and suffering,
    no longer own.

    A heart that never
    should have known such things,
    my Nana now in heaven,
    has retrieved her wings.
