    Solitude do you hold the key?
    A love to share so neglectfully-
    Silence will await obediently.
    They wish to be together; yet it cannot be-
    In the sky they search for light.
    To trust the path they feel that night.
    Fate do you paint with dreams?
    A simple stroke of meaningless means?
    No, just a lullaby it seems...

      The words you've used to weave this tale of inner music blended quite well together. There was a bit of mystery as you read through each line...what is happening? Where is the writer taking me? Nice formula for leaving the reader with a sense of completion at the end.

    Oddly enough, I thought of being apart from someone you care about while reading this poem. I guess we all take away different things from each other's work.

    The line "A simple stroke of meaningless means" was great. A random and unplanned moment of simplicity. Or was it planned?

    I will have to read more of your work...

      or we have a significant other miles away...and we are left with imaginings of love..
    solitude and silence waiting to join with love...but feeling that love is neglected....not always..often put on hold...

    the lullaby here for me is positive...

    we sing our song...and it is one of hope that we can be together again one day soon.

      This is a good example of why I like to read poetry when there are so many other diversions available. To ask such questions, the answers to which we then ponder...

    At once we see a commonality with other humans, other poets, and then we go on to see the artistic differences from where our own mind might have taken things. Good exposure, like a warm sun. We all look for "keys".

    "just a lullaby" might often be used as a wimsical disappointment towards answering our big questions but such harkens back to our beginnings, to peace and comfort. such as a mother would sing to her child. Perhaps that is an answer after all.
