dotsThe Devil Takes Care of His Owndots

I don't know how this could be
My inhibitions get the best of me
    Suppressed desires, unwanted thoughts
Fantasies I, long ago, managed to have fought
I tried to cage the beast inside
My lust for evil I strive to hide
But the chains have rusted, the bars are broken
And now all of my demons are out in the open
Like the havoc stored in Pandora's box
I thought I, cautiously, have kept it locked
By ridding myself of the only key
But still my demons have been set free
I try to confess, absolve my sins
So free from the old, my new life could begin
But difficult it is to remain clean
And back to the crevasse of darkness I'm seen
With devilish creatures eating away at my skin
Trying to burrow their evil ways in
Into the little humanity that I have left
Before succumbing to my eventual death

Is that supposed to be "care of his own"? Instead of "car"?

Nice rhyme, I always appreciate some rhyme. I try to do it all the time. But then so do the rappers.

Yes, this is a common theme for us humans. Quite common. It is VERY difficult to "remain clean" as you say. Actually, it's Quite Impossible for most of us, those who are not saints anyway. I'd like to know what the "only key" is that you got rid of here. Nice work.

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
