    dotsThe Song Birddots

One spring day, I was sauntering
    Down a lush forest path.
    The weather was very plesant,
    No remains of winter's wrath.

I was minding my own buisness,
    Till something came over,
    A cute little song bird,
    Perched above some clover.

    This song bird was adorable,
    And happy as can be,
He worried about nothing in life,
He was always filled with glee.

    There was an instant connection,
    Between me and this bird,
    At least I thought so,
    My thoughts he heard,

    For he remained there,
    Day after day,
    Singing me beautiful songs,
    From June to early May.

    I came every day,
    And listened with care,
My heart was filled with joy,
When I realized he would always be there.

    But then one day,
    He refused to sing,
    Decided he was bored,
    He started flapping his wings.

    "No wait!" I exclaimed,
    "Please don't go",
    But that didn't stop him,
    My heart sunk so low,

    That day I realized something,
He could come and go as he please,
But I'll always be stuck here,
Waiting for him, under these damn trees.

    I decided not to wait,
    And away I went,
    To another forest,
Where time would be well spent.

One day I'll meet another bird,
Who would visit me even after May,
And would look forward to sing to me,
    Day after beautiful day.
