Waiting Sickness -------------------------------------------
That voice spoke, once upon a time ago.
Soft; compassionate, purged of ego.
Splashing; mixing with the dirt on my face.
Grimy gray smears working on staining the soul.
Eyes reflecting only the absence.
They said the edge would feel like this.
Never laugh as a hearse drives by.
Caught, shocked in the presence of it all.
It was time to go- Always to remain in gold.
Turning away, and growing old.
Silence waited in patience, departing with solitude.
Forever in love-
I hope. Submitted on 2012-03-23 11:34:28 Terms of Service / Copyright Rules Submissions: [ Previous ] [ Next ] ||| Comments ||| 194684 Jimmy Ruska Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
