    dotsHis and her Contextdots

    By: Jamie Redlawsk

    Deep, deep in pink formation,
    A simple frustration.
    Embedded in the passive eyes
Of every billboard model I see.
    Every headline, and byline,
    Simplistic images promote me.

    My skirts boast a history,
    Hardly by my curves approved.
    Any logic in my discourse,
Lacks a context for its value.
Down, down, in my fortified bones,
    I actively reject
    The rights I am loaned.

    My scripts will not work;
No statute in a weighted game.
    Despite my formalities,
    And faith to maintain equality,
Sight of our subjugation sleeps undisturbed,
    And wakes in the shadows,
    To discredit the words.

    It lurks in the music,
In the stores, and the banks.
    Fills up my dissertations
    With expectancies to entertain.
    A deep indignation,
Growing, grown within my misread chest.
    Alluded to in primary pronouns;
    Profits built upon my surface.

    Meet me in the medium,
Take my stance without the sex-fed bells,
Watch me pry at something more
    Than saturation for my shell.
    I can curl my lashes,
    I can smile, glide, and call a crowd;
    Id also call your competence,
    Wert sacrilege allowed.

I really feel sorry for you. It must be horrible to live like a real human being with wide open eyes in one of the most oppressive places on earth. And that is the sad truth no matter how hard they scream and point fingers at others so as to hide their own flaws and defects. Do not despair though, not every place on this planet is like that. We don't all live wrapped in plastic. Try to travel a bit. Come to this continent if you can. I think you would really enjoy it. There are places here in Europe where people actually live their lives and don't spend much time thinking about how their neighbors do it or how the media tells them to do it...

      First line speaks to me!
The rest is a wonderful write I
    however am not motivated to
do anything about it. I like the
    girl-boy dynamic. I know as
a Man I get the short end of the
deal. I would really prefer to have
a role reversal where men and
women just trade roles. I do
not want to be a women I just
want a women to take care of
me. I would so love to do the
    house work cook clean and
take care of the kids. Soccer
    Dad would be so kewl.
    Moreover I could get used
    to women treating me like
    a frail flower.
    O well I a sure this will
    not happen
    in my lifetime.

Still you have a very clear
voice as a writer I do like it.

Why has no one commented on this yet? This is SO powerful and really real, so actually, let me read it again, so I can make a comment worth the quality of this piece.

"actively reject the rights I am loaned", godamn, I couldn't have said it any better myself, this is brilliant. I've gotten more and more love or activist poetry, and it's funny because I've wanted to write something to this nature for while and ahh. I have nothing else to say tonight, so I'm gonna favorite this and leave another comment tomorrow.
