    -------------------------------------------

    When I look at you,
    my eyes hold that glare.
The one that speaks so freely,
open to possibility, hope & despair.

I caution my mind to adjust view,
    even dare.
    Stubborn, I squeeze them shut.
    Yet, youíre still there.
    Along with this harnessed force,
burrowed so deep in a half-lit lair.

My lips cant help but quiver,
    I bite them back.
    And again my body shivers.
    No doubt its shared.

A want thatís never been so strong.
A wait thatís never felt so long.
    Im bare.

At last I find a game, so fair,
Id stay all day watch& cheer.
Got me in a constant stance,
    no need for a chair.

    So forgive my socalled weakness
    and random acts of care.
It is not my fault my soul urges you near.

And as I notice with half a glance,
    the sadness in your eyes.
It doesnít help to think IF I had a chance,
Id make you smile from the inside.
And that my friend is RARE
