she made a new friend one day it was a magpie

they sat together in her room without a view

she gave the magpie one of her eyeballs

it's ok i had an extra one anyway she said

    its delicious said the magpie

    thank you

they watched the ghost cat sleeping and purring in its favourite broken box

she watched with one eye but it was still sweet

so cute ha ha ha they said

they read some poetry and smelled something burning

oh no it is the town burning down

but it is ok we are safe here for now

in my cabin on the fringe of the world

    she said

who taught you to write a haiku? said her new friend the magpie and she said nobody i learnt it from the internet why don't you try it too some day

so magpie collected some words from the ground that were lying there after the library burnt down and wrote,

    little broken things
    lying deep in your pocket
    for another day

she lost them all in time but new versions came out so that was ok

i would tell you a better bedtime story

but i am not good with kids

this is so Twilight Zone...love the mood...

the sharing, the idea of saving for another day...

and i like the thought.."i am not good at bedtime stories"

tell a morbid tale because that is all we know...

i only need one...so here is my other eye---

my eye enjoyed this piece of writing...
