    dotsi write to get the simple outdots

    as i watch two beetles in too long grass
    love and hate the short of day;
    the short of each other.
    sun shines half-assed sleepy
    not quite high enough to cover my cold.
    i smoke and see a little red dot
    crab-like crawl; a gods-eye
    gone mad, moving side to side
    on a shiny black belly of a bug.
    it seems not to mind that time
    is slowing down. getting longer.
    darker. cooler. colorful.
    doesn't seem to mind
    moon will be high again;
    or that I have ached for 21 days
    and am full of pancakes and tired
    and leave me alone.
    doesn't seem to mind
    the monkey on its back
    wrestling it down
    into the ground
    is named andre the giant.

    that's when it becomes
