Why do the poor seem to put
All of their priorities on halt?
    Not knowing that the millions
The rich spend, is like plucking
    A hair off their scalp.

    I've witnessed starving kids
    Way too many,
    While politicians with their lies
Manage to fill their kid's bellies.

    And if everything
    Was lost like Atlantis,
    Then society is
    Devouring the youth
    Like a preying mantis.

    Power shift seems to
    Have me puzzled,
    Just like the idea that
    Your suffering and mine,
    Are a product of
    Different struggles.

I like your take on this....

I don't like most politicians, and liken their lot to clever thieves who have figured out how to steal without going to prison for it....

You have brought forth a very good topic on the unequal distribution of wealth and resources in this world. Poor are tormented and the rich flourish. This is the ultimate truth of this world.
