You can call it a storm
when I know its only raining
    because the trees are shaking
    but I know better

And I won't think anything of you now,
telling lies and begging for the wrong things
because I knew you when you were fearless,
I knew you when you knew everything

So you can call me the worst
but I know you're just cursed,
    you've been hit too hard
    and the cut won't scar

You've been waiting for a rain
    that never seems to fall
but I don't think of you that way
I remember when you were strong

    And thats what I'm thinking
When my eyes lose their focus,
    about how strong you were
when I was too weak to notice

I really like this. I don't know who you addressed it to but it's something that fits perfectly to America as a whole and the current stand that culture has reached. :) Read it that way and I think you'll agree with me. Anyway good writing!

I really like the ending..the rest seems to need a little something to balance it with the impact of the last part but that just what I think..I can also relate to this coz i've seen people close to me lose themselves because being hurt..nice
