if we could be lovebirds in a cage enclosed but free
we shall not miss flying distances, these inches we have suffice
and the mourning of what could have been will pass subtly
no reason shall abrupt where our thoughts are poured in
no amount of noise could disrupt this wanted peace
in this little space we left ourselves.
they could try to break us, yes they may can
but you told me you'll love me anyway near or apart
I always believe you,
in early mornings I would slip a thought under the pillow to think in the evening...
and we have put our plans in a suitcase whenever we have to go away...
I always thought of leaving this world with you,
death is just a flick of reality for us, a thought
Fate against faith is all we have left,
No resurrection could claim the time we have lost,
but there's no excuse for letting you go now
I have loved you long enough,it's even immeasurable
we could walk away with the path that life brings
or we could take the one we thought we could dare to..
either way I'll break every walls and bend rules to conform with the love we once set upon.
This poem is so lovely and heartfelt I literally
become bemused as I peruse its intricacies.
I have a special place in my heart where I keep this poem.
I know it is not mine yet I can wish I did posses
such a poem for my own.
And yet as luscious as this poem is two lines stand
out for me above all the others.
"in the early mornings I would slip a thought under the pillow to think in the evening
and we have put our plans in a suitcase whenever we have to go away"
To me this means you think of your love even and
always when you are dreaming, and make a point
of remembering to sleep always with love. Then of course
no matter what you do or where you go you take this
love with you holding it dear.
I do so love this poem it makes me happy and sad at
the same time it is so lovely and yet will never truly be
the more they tear us apart, the more caged we feel without each other...the stronger the love...and it will win out in the end...no matter what...i will be with you...even against my better judgement...i am there...
i like "no resurrection can claim the time we lost"
