    dotsAnd If You Like Thatdots

    "The times.
    They are a'changing."
And yet they stay so still.
    We are who we are,
never again who we once were.
    And if you like that,
I'll put you in my pocket.
    Carried around safe
At the corner of my mind.
    And if you like that,
I'll show you who I am.
    Looking lovely,
    Somewhere in my life.
It all just goes round and round.
    The angst
    -gives way-
    to the joy.
    The joy
    -gives way-
    to the despair.
    Home follows me around
    Like a bad cold
    Home holds my hand
    Like a sweet melody
    And if you like that,
    I'll keep you handy.
    Feeling beautiful,
Like that book I can't put down.
    And if you like that,
    We'll keep moving.
    Like a circle,
    It'll never end.

needs a title...and i would put the first two lines in quoatation marks...but wow.

i love the repeated line "and if you like that"

and what comes after each time...

this gives me chills...it is like the word around is changing, not for the better...

but i'll be what you need me to be...so we can stay the same. because you are my home and we are a circle i don't want to see broken.

    really really nice write.
