I stopped writing for five years and missed this site so much. I will be away here once again so this poem is perfect for this moment.

    this was the last epistle
    none dared to decode
a maze of the space between,

    heart
    and
    mind

    truth
    and
    lie

    the limits of universe
bound in margins of a paper
    none dared to write

    the decency of the word,

    goodbye

There are some things that we know
    Because the universe has whispered
    Them into our other ear.
We never speak of these revelations
Not even when making decisions based
On their innuendos. I think this is because
It is too painful to lay out the truth and
Face the reality that it really was just
a dream that no one shared.

I think this is quite a magical poem, something harrowing (for the reader) in the spaces

and something of a plea from the narrator in the spaces

so that when you read it,
    you are,
    we are,

like an animal caught in a trap. the poem seems to weave like a bit of paper in the wind (magical heart)

and it seems to demand that you do care.

and so when you bring it -to the end in the way that you do - it is both regal and intensely humane, an end, at last.

So, if it is an end, i love the understated way you achieve that, graceful bit of poetry.

and with that, she shuts the door and we hear her pen shuffling down the hallway...wondering if it or she...will ever return.
