    -------------------------------------------

Three hundred and sixty five days,
    to dream once more.
    A spinning circle,
    one hundred and eighty degrees,
    lost,
    one hundred and eighty degress,
    found.

    Time,

    tick,tock
    tick,
    a measuring stick,

    it all goes to,
    one,
    great,
    blink.

okay this may not make sense if you've never seen the film...but i am watching Eddie and the Cruisers as i read your poem...and wow, how the two go together...

the words and the music, words and music..

the band had one hit album and then an album that was completed but not released...1963 is when it all took place.

and when old band members get together and talk they talk about how when eddie died the music died with him...

it was like a blink...there they were, and then there they weren't.

a spinning circle of what ifs...what if eddie hadn't driven his car off the bridge that night...what would have happened...

i don't know...just odd how coincidental the timing ...reading your piece, which i just really love...and then the movie, and then thinking back to the 60's and my high school years...what a time that was, and how it is gone in a blink too.

and i just heard a line..from the film..."if you want to be a poet, go to greenwich village"

and it is in reference to the second album that never came out..influenced by the poet arthur rimbaud's Season of Hell...no one understood it...

no one wanted it...they wanted the old cruisers' stuff...

sort of like poets who go through changes...and how often their new voice doesn't get accepted...

    tick tock, tick tock...

somehow this is all an inspiration..
sorry to go on so..but the timing, your words, my memories...all collided.
