Men blew all colors of life away
fleeting as sun and brief as day
Once was green now in deep black
drifting down to the clearing today.

All discarded with no mouth to speak
turn to our lives, to hike and leap.
When mother earth cries, it will be too late,
this layering dirt, your child's fray.

this reminded me so much of an old commercial that used to air on TV...

it showed a car riding down a highway and someone reaches out a hand and throws some trash out the window...it then cuts to an Indian standing off to the side of the road watching, and this big tear emerges from the Indian's eye.

we really abuse the environment---and that is so sad...nature is so beautiful and we discard the thought of her like she is no more than trash to be trashed.

Where did you find all that garbage? I used to see such places here in America but most of them have been cleaned up.
I imagine we still have some but there was a time when even our highways looked like great long dumps for garbage. In fact if we did not spend huge amounts of money keeping the trash picked up, our roads would look worse than ever. Sure we have recycle now and many people are doing there part. However so many still just don't care. This makes me mad like when I see where someone has used a secluded glade to get rid of their trash.
