I'll probably regret posting this pornuendo...

    dotsWaiting for It (revised)dots

Not like an itch that yearns to be scratched.
But like the scent of bread rising in the afternoon
that awakens an appetite and hints at a joy
that is to come.  Not meant be consumed
recklessly, but to be lingered over.  It's not misery
to wait to be satisfied, but jubilation.
It's not relief when relief comes,
    but pure abandon.

pornuendo? I find it rather tame after reading that description. :) I know what you mean though. Routine is one of our biggest enemies. Few people realize that...

this is simple and beautiful and eloquent. the anticipation is just as pleasurable as the realization itself.
your piece summons of images of exquisite pleasure in the mind created by the anticipatory imaginings.

this could relate to so many things...yes, it could refer to sex, the anticipation, the easing into it, how it can be so much of a turn on to take it slowly...to drive each other wild with the wanting...the savoring of the moment....the waiting is not misery...it is part of the pleasure...the flirting, the first touch, the next touch etc.

but this could also refer to the dream of achieving...the seeing of it, the wanting of it, the journey there--all much worth the wait and anticipation...
and the jubilation of reaching the climax of either.

even with the description, there is a universality to this piece.

smart right---a blush, then a smile and a "yeah, it's like that!"
