I can see the brilliant, lumiscent light of the future through eyes cracked open.
Oh wait, it's just that desk lamp I forgot to turn off.
I can feel the deepest love brewing in the pit of my stomach.
    Oh wait, I'm just hungry.
I can see the world in all its vibrant colors and spectacular wonders.
    Oh wait, I'm just high.
I can feel my brain churning as brilliant ideas are being synthesized.
Oh wait, it's just a migraine.

This one is very true, on of the greatest anxieties an artistic mind can experience- the ideal being continuously frustrated by the real. Sadly we are all grounded to the earth, and worse still, even if the author be truly having his/her "brain churning as brilliant ideas are being synthesized", other idiots who might dismiss it as a "migraine" are more likely to be believed.

Your piece is excitingly ironic and very sad, it cuts both ways.

Now this is very good. Just what I needed to bring me down a bit from my current state of mania.
