    I decompose
    quietly, breathlessly
    on a slightly eroded ground
    lying on each blade of grass
    speculating cuts
    with the unruffled wind of
    waiting

    You, apart
    sit upon a shore
    taking years off your eyes
    of colorfast blue
    I pierce deep into your waters
    add to them my tears
    prefering silence, a you;
    a love.


    We, rearrange
    the word goodbye
    to be a sparrow

    too afraid to fly.

      The pacing and imagery here are just lovely. It has a sort of breathless feel to it, a breathless sorrow or waiting that feels impossible to bear, but will be borne nonetheless.

    And this:

    is stunning. I'm always enamored with poetry that successfully transforms a human emotion into something palpable or tangible, and you've done that here with this section. I love it, honestly.
