Tears stain the pillow cases every night.
Thoughts travel back to that horrible fight.
Trying to forget with all my might,
About that strange, sudden loss of sight,
Between what's wrong and what's right.
Brows furrowed, bottom lip bite,
Tossing and turning, jaws tight.
Waiting for it all to take flight,
Away from here, out of sight,
Into the deep black pool of night.
The stains will dry up in the sunlight.
